It's been confirmed that the owner of Lululemon bought the a-MAZE-ing laughter statues and is donating them to the people of Vancouver. I'm happy, though a column by a local sculptor grumbled that the money would've been better spent on local sculptors and not on sarcastic art (the laughing statues are supposed to be caricatures of old white ideas of Chinese people). I don't think most people think about that and just like the art because it can be interactive. I'm not a big fan of people telling others how to enjoy art and that their enjoyment is not right.
