plymouth ice festival

Posted by

It was a great day to visit and ice festival. Not a cloud in the sky, cold as a January morn (all day), and we were full of energy and ready to get out of the house like a couple of kids. Plymouth, as it turns out, is almost in Ann Arbor, so it was a good drive from home here, but worth the journey. We watched some college kids under guidance carve their own statues in pairs (singles were yesterday) and took in the professional carvings, including this tree. Downtown Plymouth is also rather nice to walk around in - we visited a toy shop, a dog bakery, a cupcake vendor, a candy store, and a tea shop. It all made for a wonderful afternoon, even if I was wearing long underwear.
