protest for palestine

We got back into Istanbul this morning and made our way up to our friend's house, taking two metros and a bus and doing some walking. Istanbul is big. Then we did some shopping.

Both our trip to and from (and to again) his house were greatly delayed by the protests over the Israeli bombing of a Turkish ship delivering humanitarian supplies to Gaza. There are a lot of angry, angry people here - Israel has essentially lost its only ally in the area with this maneuver.
