This is one of the best examples around, and it was coincidentally right next to our hostel! Nicely restored with mannequins inside to give an idea of life way back when, it was a stop for big groups of tourists as well. No windows on the bottom floor to stop nosy neighbours from looking in, it also had a stone foundation topped with lots and lots of wood. They loved wood.

Today was also our last day in Turkey - for a couple of weeks anyway. We're off to Bulgaria to experience the Cyrillic script and see how Communist life affected things there. A long bus trip awaits us...
