the ottoman houses of safranbolu

Our last stop before completing our circle - Sanfranbolu. Known as the backyard of the Ottomans (this is where they held their barbeques!), the houses here are almost all in the classic Ottoman style and have been so well-kept and renovated that they're a World Heritage site. We even got to sleep in one - many are used as hotels now. As we arrived near the end of the day, we had just enough time to scramble back up the road and watch the golden light wash over the town. Good vibes here.
