the roman theatre

Amman has a really well-preserved Roman theatre - this area has been part of many empires - and we visited and climbed it today. Chris gave a short performance. I learned, from the museums in the theatre, that the goat hair tents used by the Bedouins are waterproof because the hair absorbs the water (though then your home smells like wet goat, I would guess) and that the English word amber comes from Arabic.
