the sinai desert

Posted by

We started our jeep and camel trek today. Driving across the desert in a jeep (three of us plus the guide and driver), we climbed a giant dune and ran and rolled down the other side, then we stopped for tea at a well. We drove to a beautiful valley with rocks that looked like they had been painted red and yellow to have lunch. After that, we made our way to the white canyon - called that due to all the chalky rock in it - and then made our way to an oasis for dinner. The oasis looked almost exactly like you'd think it would, except the water was underground. We slept under the stars, out in a valley.
