We took off today for Penghu, a close huddle of islands off of the west coast of Taiwan. We got in early, having taken the afternoon off. We landed and immediately rented a scooter and buzzed around the main town, Makong. This is from one of the many temples on the island - it's known for huge, amazing temples, and this is a country made up of temples (a temple for every 1500 people, the paper recently noted). This ended up being one of my favourite temples on the island. It had lobsters for decoration (among other things)!
