It's that time of the month again! The shop next to my tea stand was preparing their offering today so I snapped a pic. Last night was the full moon, so today there is ghost money aflame and food offered up on high. Also, Chris and I noticed that the Buddhist vegetarian place that we frequent was obscenely busy yesterday and today. I think that there are some Full Moon and New Year vegetarians - a little more than Christmas and Easter Catholics, but maybe a bit of the same idea? I don't know, it was just fun to speculate what the equivalents for each religion might be. Yom Kippur and Rosh Hashanah Jews? Eid ul-Fitr and Eid el-Adha Mulsims? Black Friday and Boxing Day shopaholics?
