a small project

I found a link a while back about terrific and inspiring photoblogs - check them out, they are some really good ones - and one of them made mention of low f-stop photography. For this week (minus yesterday, as I didn't have my camera), I'm going to try a shot a day at f1.8. We'll see how it turns out.

Today's shot is of a giant fancy box of cookies give to us by our manager. It's tradition here to give coworkers and family collections of cookies when you get engaged. Some are pretty good, some are mediocre, some are kind of gross. I ended up giving a lot of them to students, as there's no way we're going to eat a giant box of cookies by ourselves.
