These plays are often presented outside temples. I'm not sure what stories are told, but I do know they involve lots of cymbal-banging, screechy singing, and colourful costumes. The stages are erected and taken down in one day - sometimes one night. Sometimes they involve puppets. It's fun to see them as you drive by at night, an audience of scooters sitting around in front of it. Well, people on scooters.
