the angels were guaraní

We took a trip out to Yanguarón to see the beautiful Franciscan church today. Just missed the morning hours and it ended up being a full day trip, but that's OK. The church was built hundreds of years ago and the angels have faces that resemble Guaranís, the people that the Franciscans were trying to convert. Beautiful craftsmanship, it's hard to believe these things sometimes.

We taught a small boy Go Fish today while waiting for the church to open. He liked it, though his mother said that the devil lives in cards.
