Though this wasn't taken today, we were around the Congresso - I just wanted to place a good photo on a crappy day. You see, we both had the morning off and though, "What better way to enjoy a morning off that to take a tour of the Congress? I certainly can't think of a better way," because, of course, we're both historical geeks.
However, once we got down, we discovered the entire area was cordoned off, as it was the opening of Congress and the President was about to give his (two-and-a-half hour) kickoff speech. To add insult to injury, the skies opened up and the largest deluge we've experienced here poured forth onto us and everyone around us, completely drenching everything in sight and turning the subway into complete turmoil - there were malfunctions on 5/6 lines at one point or another during the day. We didn't even stay to hear the president to talk - too damn wet.
Anyway, I like this picture better than soaking shoes.
