Religion is visible all around, however much of a role it plays in ones life here. Parks, sides of buildings, in the middle of a busy subway station - these Santa Marias can be found everywhere. People touch them and cross themselves as they walk by.
On a side note, we went to a little local Korean restaurant last night, and it was amazing. It was so nice to have food with spice again, to eat with chopsticks again, to have a communal dinner again. Mmm, kimchi.
