in comes the typhoon

Typhoon Morakot (meaning jade in Thai) blew in last night giving us a surprising typhoon day today. Everyone expected it to hit and go to Taipei, but we're getting battered way worse than Taipei is. High winds, lots of rain - typhoon weather, that is. Stay indoors and get stuff done kind of day.
