It's not the plate so much as the sticker in the corner. I've been used to seeing 93, 94, 97, 98 (no, those aren't 19xx, they're just the numbers listed. Taiwan often keeps track of dates using the birth of the Republic of China (1911) as year 0), but seeing the 100 this year has been a little interesting. I'm a little sad we'll miss 100 years of the ROC.
