weird english signsPosted by Ryan (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) on 1 August 2008 in Cityscape & Urban. Every country has them. Weird English signs have to do with humping. The hump in question is a speed bump. What pelican means was explained to me - it has something to do with the lines on the intersection, maybe? - but I can't remember exactly. There are also Humped Zebra Crossings, which mean that the speed bump coincides with a pedestrian crossing, I believe.
