Our first full day in Cartagena. We simply spent the day walking around the historical Walled City. It's beautiful here, the buildings are veritable rainbows, explosions of colour. Friendly people, women with fruit on their heads ready to make you a fruit salad, and the incessant sun beating down on you. Luckily there are lots of peaceful parks like this one for resting. We sat and had a beer and watched as a school of Afro-Caribbean dancers set up and began to dance to the delight of the crowd. It was pretty amazing - they were very, very good.
