aftermath of a protest

Today is Labour Day on this continent which means nothing is open and young people protesting in the wrong way. We were walking downtown again and found ourselves amongst a bunch of 18-year-old boys with rocks, so we moved a few blocks away. Good thing - the riot police were already waiting for them and it didn't take long for the tear gas and water cannons to come out. We stayed and watched the masked kids scamper back and forth trying to evade the police before the tear gas got to us. Made for an interesting day.
