the train graveyard

We spent the day organizing ourselves to head out to the salt flats today, then I took a walk out to the train graveyard a couple of kilometres outside of town. Full of abandoned railaway cars, old engines, and bits of pieces of trains, this place is a photographer's (or train historian's) dreamscape. It was really neat wandering around all the old cars, the skeletons of trips past. Where had these cars been? How far had they gone? Why were they abandoned? The pieces refused to yield their secrets; they just sat and watched another sun dip below the horizon.
