What a perfect day for a picnic. Big bowls of salad, a slow-cooker full of baked beans, sandwiches, desserts, wine - classic end-of-summer (or summer) fare. And one can't forget the entertainment! Sunday afternoon football, egg throws (pictured here, Christine and her dad tied for first), even bocci ball (my first game. Rather like curling without brooms or ice or heavy rocks. Well, closer to curling than baseball, anyway).
