Pastelitos - a deep-fried classic dessert in Argentina. You can get it with quince jam or a sweet potato jam in the middle. They're really, really good (mom, dad, remember, you had these at Sandra's).

@Sherri: I've only heard of them here, and they're not healthy at all - dough surrounding a kind of gelled jam, and everything is deep-fried - but oh so nice.
reminds me to the times i was there :) they are really delicious especially those with dulce de batata.

@grund: Yeah, the batata ones are nice, too. I prefer the membrillo ones, however.
