politics ruins everythingPosted by Ryan (Kaohsiung, Taiwan) on 28 May 2007 in Cityscape & Urban. In relation to the post from yesterday, this is what that beautiful mural now looks like. Mayoral elections are in a week, and someone decided that it would be an improvement to whitewash part of the mural and paint a candidate's name across it. Such is the life of graffiti, but this sloganeering is common here, and really, it's not all that nice, especially when it ruins something terrific. Ah well.
