it all falls apart

Man, my family left just in time. Rain and a riot on Tuesday, the bathroom drain overflowed Wednesday, and the entire subway system was shut down by union action today. Oh, the garbage collectors are also working reduced hours, and a couple of other unions are striking or threatening (teachers and phone workers). I did a lot of walking today, saw some new places.
