autumn colours

It's been a long time since I last saw leaves change colour, and this is the first time I've seen them do it in May. We had our city tour early today, as it is Labour Day here in Argentina. The rest of the day we spent wandering through the parks, as everything was shut down.

There are lots of parks here in Mendoza because they wanted open areas for people to congregate after the ginormous earthquake of 1861. All of the architecture is noticeably different from the rest of the country, as the original town was destroyed.
