The falls were huge. HUGE. In fact, there has been so much water lately that many of the falls, including the legendary Devil's Throat (where all the falls fall together into an impenetrable collection of mist), were closed. However, a sunny day provided us with an abundant amount of rainbows and butterflies (!) and the falls were pretty amazing in and of themselves (the ones we saw). Usually they run at about 2000 cubic metres per second - today they were at 10,000-11,000, so there was a lot of water. This was one of the out-of-the-way quiet ones.
Side note: I'd hate to be our guide's kids. He started off by telling us that today was a special day. I started thinking, 'Alright! Something cool today!', until he followed that with, 'Everything is closed'. Could you imagine birthdays with this guy? 'Alright kids, special day today! Your puppy is dead!' I've even had another guide do the same thing. I'm going to start fearing the phrase 'Special Day' from now on!

looks like the gardens at Willy Wonka's place! I'm assuming the brown in the water is chocolate, right? Or perhaps dulce de leche?

@jb: Ha! I'd say dulce de leche, personally. They love it so much they even insert it into popular tourist spots.
