Chris says his name is San Expedito (St. Expeditus), the saint of just causes. He was an Armenian who converted to Christianity and was beheaded for it. I like the part where the devil, in the form of a crow, came to him and told him he could convert the next day. He curb-stomped the crow, shouting, "I will be a Christian today! TODAY!"
Anyway, there were people lined up in two giant lines (splitting to the left and right at the sidewalk and going around two corners) to get into the church all day long and into the night. The priest was blessing the whole day through. To get prime religious trinket-selling space, there were people staking out tables at 10 the night before.
Happy feast day, St. Dude!
