Yesterday we ventured out to the Reserva Ecología (three guesses what that means in English) for a picnic with a friend. On the edge of the Río de la Plata, it's a nice escape for people trapped in the city all week.

It was nice just to have some fresh, non-bus-exhaust-infected air, though the breeze off the ocean was so strong that we were actually chilled sitting in the shade. Foolishly, we sat in the sun for a while, and now I look like a raccoon. Got some nice pics, though. This is pampas grass, that distinctively Argentine prairie grass that looks silky soft.

In other news, I have a gallery of pictures from the various Carnaval celebrations up on flickr. Check 'em out.
