Yes, there was a lot of flesh at Carnaval. There were some almost-naked men shaking it on the floats as well - a kind of equality - but definitely more interest from the crowd in the women.
Chris commented that the waxing industry must love Carnaval time. What made me laugh were the women with very noticable tan lines on their breasts and butt. You spend all that time, shaving potential years off your life to look good, and in the parade you have big white triangles on the parts that everyone is looking at. Better to leave your whole body white. Oh well!
The costumes were really amazing, though. Some were huge, having elements rising another six feet over the wearer's head, and sometimes other elements on the sides. All kinds of themes, too - the jungle, heaven, ancient Incas, outer space, France in the 1800s, and many others. Lots of time and money put into them, that's for sure.
