We spent a very long day (left at 7am, returned the next 7 am) in Gualeguaychú for the largest celebration of Carnaval in Argentina (possibly the 2nd largest outside of Brazil, following Montevideo). Huge crowds, wonderful costumes, loud music, and plenty of flesh passed by our wonderful seats that were snagged for us by a student of ours who was supposedly dancing in the celebration (though we missed him, unfortunately).
This picture is to show the enormity of the floats and also of the crowds. More pictures and commentary through the week.
