Though it is the oldest church in Argentina (finished in 1734), the San Ignacio may not be for much longer. What you don't see are the huge support beams that are blocking the street in front of this church while holding it up. Dozens of years of buses passing by every day has begun shaking the building apart (notice the developing crack in the lower right corner). No repair efforts seem to be going on, I don't know what will end up happening to it.

Looks a sad, derelict old mess, and dangerous to pedestrians, but what a great photo!

@Sidonie: I don't think it'll fall down anytime soon (though who knows), but the structure is quite large. I'll post a picture of just that soon. And thanks for the compliment!
